You will meet your Egyptologist tour guide at the lobby of your hotel in Luxor then you will be transferred by a private air-conditioned vehicle about 1:30 hour to reach Dendera. You will visit one of the best-preserved temple complexes in Egypt, Hathor Temple, dedicated to Hathor, goddess of love, joy, and music. You will see Cleopatra VI carvings on the walls, showing us a well-made example of Ptolemaic Egyptian art. Lunch included between visits.
Your second stop will be at the East Bank to visit Karnak and Luxor Temples. Karnak Temple is the greatest example of worship in history and was dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. It was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Graeco-Roman Kingdom. You will see at Karnak Temple the Sphinx Avenue, the famous Hypostyle Hall, Queen Hatshepsut’s Obelisk and Temple of Amon.
Luxor Temple was built by Amenhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. You will see the Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the first Pylon. Free time to take memorable photos then back to your hotel.
