Gayer-Anderson Pasha, who resided in the house between 1935 and 1942 with special permission from the Egyptian Government. It is noted for being one of the best-preserved examples of 17th-century architecture and Islamic art. It contains a vast collection of Gayer-Anderson’s furniture, carpets, curio, and other objects. It consists of two houses using the outer wall of the Mosque of Ibn Tulun as support. The two houses were connected by a bridge at the third-floor level. Head to visit Sultan Hassan and El Rifae Mosques, near to Cairo Citadel. Sultan Hassan Mosque is a huge mosque and madrassa placed in the Old City of Cairo, it was built during the Mamluk period. The two mosques are located opposite to each other.
